(Course Objectives)
Upon the completion of this course, the students will be able to:
1. Identify theories or models as a structure to design nursing interventions in the care of older clients.
2. Articulate the conceptual bases, scope, and application of theories or models identified.
3. Identify approaches to translate theory or research to practice.
4. Identify and appraise nursing interventions in caring for the elderly, their families, and community in light of the state of science.
5. Identify issues and controversies salient to the study and generation of knowledge in nursing interventions.
6. Propose future direction of the development of the science of nursing intervention for the elderly, their families, and community.
