六、 課程概述: (Course Description) |
This course will focus on the differences and similarities between cultures and their influence on language usage. The festivals of various countries and cultures will be presented by students. Through these presentations, the students can realize the discrepancy of their own culture and those of different countries. Enculturation and acculturation are not instead; rather, cross-cultural and inter-cultural communication and understanding are encouraged. |

The objectives for this course are to: 1. familiarize students with the facets of culture and communication, 2. develop students English skills in various forms, 3. enhance appreciation of the diverse ways of communication, 4. develop the cultural awareness of the students. |
