六、 課程概述: (Course Description) |
本核心課程為進階老人健康照護特論系列課程之一,旨在培養學生具備老人健康照護的臨床護理專家能力。課程內容強調與老人、家庭及社區照護相關的現象、概念、理論及政策。教學方法包含講授、討論及口頭報告等方式,學生須完成概念分析作業。最終目標是增進學生的知識、獨立推理與分析能力,以提升、維持及重整老人健康。 |
七、 課程目標: (Course Objectives) |
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Utilize theories and current research findings from nursing and other disciplines that relate to aging and health care of the elderly, particularly to physiological and psychosocial aspects of aging, in order to differentiate normal aging from illness and disease processes. 2. Identify core concepts and phenomena vital to gerontological nursing care. 3. Identify concepts and phenomena from clinical experiences and phenomena analysis. 4. Critically review literature on concepts identified. 5. Describe manifestations and behaviors of older adults clients regarding to the concept identified. 6. Analyze the impacts of illness on the clients and their families from physical, psychosocial, spiritual and economic perspectives through construct of concept identified. 7. Understand the long-term care systems in Taiwan and the related health care policies. 8. Recognize the roles of advanced practice nurse. |

◎停課及補課措施∼ (一)學生個別居家隔離時 若有同學為居家隔離者,授課教師屆時以電話個別聯絡,並針對其居家學習情況進行瞭解,將依課程進度指定學習作業,且於同學復課後補足其課程進度。 (二)全班或全校停課時 1、授課教師會與同學保持聯繫,透過電話或e-mail瞭解同學們之居家學習狀況。 2、若因教師或同學須隔離而造成全班或全校停課時,授課教師會依課程進度安排居家學習方式。例如:本學科的課程規劃內容中,涵蓋課室教學,回復示教練習與指導及技術測驗等教學活動;為避免因停課而中斷學習,會將教學計畫之進度;事先利用電子講義及技術操作影片等教材派發至網路下載系統;同學們以自學方式進行學習,授課教師群亦開放e-mail與同學做Q&A的互動。並視情況將測驗改為繳交書面報告的方式進行。 3、復課後之補課方式 授課教師將協助同學安排補課時間;除一般上課方式外,仍會安排技術實驗示教及回覆課程,並請同學利用自學中心完成課後練息,若週一至週五期間無法挪出補課時間,利用假日補足進度,必要時得視情況調整學期結束日期。

I. Class Participation (20%) Purpose: Discussion of this course’s content and relevant issues will bring professional and intellectual growth. I strongly encourage each one of you to fully participate in class and online discussion board. Your responsibility for PROFESSIONAL discussion is to listen to others, make contributions to class discussions, and importantly create an environment conducive to learning. Your responsibility for online discussion is to prepare for the discussion by readings, seeking internet sites/resources, and relevant materials to gain information about the topic. REMEMBER! You are required to be full participants! a) Evidence of prior reading and preparation for each class session (60%) There will be two to three required readings for each class session. Summary each journal article on a A4 paper (one page for one article, font size 12, 1.5 space) and hand it in at the beginning of each class. b) Demonstrate the ability to engage in scholarly dialogue while respecting others’ point of view (40%) c) For each class absence without approval from the instructor, 10 points will be deducted from your total class participation score. II. Clinical phenomena analysis (Total 10%): in oral presentation III. Literature review of concept (Total 30%) 1. Written report: 15% 2. Oral presentation: 15% IV. Concept analysis and model (Total 40%) 1. Written report: 20% 2. Oral presentation: 20% Written Paper Evaluation Criteria: 1. Adequacy of the literature included (30%) 2. Synthesis of the literature in terms of what is known about the topic that can be used to guide the practice (30%) 3. Critique of the studies that have been done (20%) 4. Specific research that is needed so that more directions for practice can be provided (10%) 5. Clarity and organization of the paper (10%) Oral Presentation Evaluation Criteria: 1. Contents are well-organized and logic (25%) 2. Important areas are well-covered (25%) 3. Implications for clinical practice are well-discussed (15%) 4. Presentation style and time management (15%) 5.
