六、 課程概述:
(Course Description)
Students will learn the relationship between sounds and spelling. This will enable them to use the regularities of spelling that exist in English, making it easier for them to learn new words. Finally they need to realize that the best way to speak fluent English is through imitation and repetition. “Perfect” practice makes perfect.

To provide students practice in both listening and speaking from a highly structured practice of a sound at the word level to the practice of the sound in connected speech using more communicative activities for recognizing and producing different sounds through a variety of activities.

(Teaching Methods)
Discussion/ Activities
The course provides students practice different sounds through a variety of activities.
These include practice in both listening and speaking and moves from a highly structured practice of a sound at the word level to the practice of the sound in connected speech using more communicative activities, which include dialogues, games, puzzles, and activities for pair and group work. Sound and spelling are also taught in every unit. Stress and intonation, which are essential for communicating successfully in English, are introduced in almost every class.
