六、 課程概述:
(Course Description)
This lower-intermediate course will introduce specific listening strategies, such as listening for the main idea and specific information. A wide variety of listening material dealing with individual sounds, speech reductions, stress and intonation patterns will be used. Students will practice identifying or recognizing the different sounds, sound combinations, stressed and unstressed words and intonations in spoken language at sentence level. A variety of task-based listening inputs and speaking practices, such as greeting, shopping, describing likes & dislikes and routines, giving and receiving messages, and daily conversations, may be included in the curriculum.

九、 教學方法:
(Teaching Methods)
Student will be given structured opportunities to practice listening to many types of discourse. Comprehensive exercises are designed to give practice in such listening skills as predicting, and identifying main ideas. Skills will be enforced when students are asked to conduct pair discussion or interviews and then integrate their ideas into whole class debate.
