六、 課程概述:
(Course Description)
此課程的設計是希望未來之幼教師得到3-6歲幼童之發展知識,並經由實際觀摩教師之教學,從而學習如何為3-6歲幼童設計適當之課程活動並且學習到實務的教學經驗。
七、 課程目標:
(Course Objectives)
(1) To teach students to understand the importance that music involve-ments are to the total growth and development of the young child 3-6.
(2) To teach students to identify appropriate music performance skills and music concepts for the young child 3-6.
(3) To teach students to identify, discuss, utilize and teach contemporary music education methods, techniques and approaches suitable for the young child 3-6.
(4) To explore with students the methods and materials for teaching curricular subjects, using music as a vehicle for more complete understanding,
(5) To help students to become aware of the natural musical surroundings, the rote learning style, the rhythmic skills, and the importance of creative experiences in the total growth and development of primary level children.
(6) To increase student’s developmental musical aptitude through musical training
八、 授課大綱:
(Syllabus)
This course is designed for early childhood educators interested in using music to teach language, rhythm and movement, and social skills to preschool children (ages 3-6). The focus is on the foundations of music and early childhood education and the use of music and song to foster language development and knowledge of culture in preschool children. The theoretical background of the relationship between music and culture will be discussed as well as the cognitive developmental theories of Piaget, Bruner, and Vygotsky as they apply to the use of music and play in early childhood education. The literature describing the use of music to form a bridge between cultures will be presented as well as techniques for using music to foster language development, culture, and identity within preschool children. Previous research demonstrating the application of the Kulturemusik© Parent/Child Teaching model will be presented as well as graphic displays and samples of materials successfully used to teach knowledge of Zhu-Yin symbols to preschool children.
